June 2021 - February 2024: Scottsdale, Arizona

2021
June/July: Laura Owens and Greg Gillespie meet and go on a date.[1]
June 30: Laura Michelle Owens and Greg Gillespie go on their 2nd date.
July 16: Some time before this, Greg informs Laura that he no longer wants to continue dating. Laura attends an appointment with John Jones, DO, at One Medical due to amenorrhea. She takes a urine pregnancy test while there which turns positive. Laura then informs Gillespie via text, eleven days after their sexual encounter, that she is allegedly pregnant.
August 6: Laura texts a photo of an ultrasound to Greg depicting her alleged pregnancy with twins.[2] After receiving the ultrasound from Laura, Greg runs it through a reverse Google image search which reveals that it was identical to a sonogram found on a blog post from 2015[3]. Greg then texts Laura a link to the blog along with two videos of Laura waiting outside Greg's house when he was sick with Covid[2]. The two discuss the ultrasound and the blog over a phone call that Greg recorded.
August 11: Laura files a civil lawsuit against Greg, alleging Abortion Coercion, Domestic Violence, and Intentional Infliction of Emotional Distress (IIED).
August 12: Greg files a Order of Protection (OOP) against Laura. He alleges that Laura attempted to get him fired from his job in retaliation for breaking up with her.
August 13-24: Laura Michelle Owens sends Greg Gillespie a variety of emails regarding his promises to date and the legal cases she planned to bring against him for not keeping his word. You can view those emails here.
August 22: Laura Owens forwards Greg an alleged email chain between attorney Joe Cotchett (an Owens' family friend), attorney Alison Cordova, and herself with the subject "Urgent: copy of conversation with Joe Cotchett & contract". The email also includes a Contingency Fee Agreement for Cotchett's law firm to represent Laura in a legal proceeding (it should be noted that this agreement was not signed by Mr. Cotchett).[4]
August 23: Gillespie retains attorney Gregg Woodnick to represent him in the case[5]. Attorney Kaci Bowman informs Laura Michelle Owens via email that Greg Gillespie has retained Woodnick Law Firm to represent him in the case and states that all future communications from Laura to Greg should be directed to the firm. Bowman also asks Laura if she would agree to take a prenatal paternity test at ARCpoint Labs. Laura Owens responds to Bowman, saying she plans on filing a separate family court case and would be willing to take the paternity test. Laura Owens also states that she has spoken informally with the attorney who plans to represent her in the current case about text messages she received from Greg the night before. Laura Owens ends her email with, "He can contact me at (phone number) if he rethinks his decision regarding a relationship and if he would like to be a part of pregnancy decisions going forward".[6] The same day, Woodnick emails Joe Cotchett to verify whether his firm is representing Laura Owens in her case against Greg Gillespie.[7]
August 24: Gregg Woodnick receives a reply from Cotchett's firm stating that they do not represent Laura Michelle Owens in the referenced matter.[7]
August 24: Laura Michelle Owens contacts the Scottsdale PD claiming that Greg is harassing her.[8] She includes a 77 page document of text messages between her and Greg. You can view that 77 page attachment here.
August 27: Gregg Woodnick's paralegal emails Laura Owens: "You should receive an email from ARCpoint Labs of Scottsdale later today setting your appointment for non-invasive prenatal paternity testing for next week."[6]
September 1: Gregg Woodnick emails Laura Owens, stating that she should have received confirmation data from ARCpoint regarding the prenatal paternity testing, and it is her choice to participate in testing at this point.[6]
September 30: Joe Cotchett replies to an email from Laura Michelle Owens, stating, "Thank you for the note - it is an extraordinary story with GILLESPIE. I am glad to hear you are pursuing charges as they conduct is outrageous - if we can help in any way, please do not hesitate to call."[9]
November 12: Laura Owens files a Petition for an Order of Protection against Gillespie. Judge John Doody grants the OOP the same day. You can listen to that short hearing here, or read the transcript here.
2022
January 4: Greg files his Answer and Counterclaim, alleging Fraud and Intentional Infliction of Emotional Distress against Laura Owens.[10]
January 6: TedX released Laura Owens' talk on domestic violence and her relationship with Mike Marraccini. The Lifesaving Power of Kindness to Strangers | Laura Owens | TEDxMercerIslandHSWomen — YouTube
March 4: On August 1st, Laura Michelle Owens alleged she was drugged and sexually assaulted on this date. (See exhibit 4 here.)
August 1: Laura Owens emailed Judge Bachus, accusing Greg Gillespie and his attorney of being involved in the March 4th assault. [11] Laura alleged that the FBI was investigating the incident. This claim has not been independently verified. It is unknown if this alleged incident was reported to the police.
August 11: A hearing for CV2021-5052893 is held. Oral Arguments regarding Defendant’s Motion to Dismiss/Motion for Judgment of Pleadings of Plaintiff’s Abortion Coercion Claim filed February 15, 2022. Plaintiff Laura Owens is present and represented by counsel Kyle O’Dwyer. Defendant Gregory Gillespie is present and represented by counsel Gregg Woodnick and Markus Risinger. The Motion to Continue is granted, continuing the hearing on August 17th.
August 17: A continuation of the hearing on Gillespie's Motion to Dismiss “CV 2021–052893 Owens v Gillespie” (the abortion coercion case in Maricopa County) is held.
October 12: The case was dismissed by Judge Gordon.
November 15: Laura Michelle Owens is able to renew her order of protection against Greg Gillespie for two more years.[12] You can listen to that short hearing here, or read the transcript here.
2023
November 9: Laura Owens submits "The Gillespie Connection" police report to Scottsdale PD, claiming that he is violating his protection order by posting things about Laura online. Detective Reedy concludes that none of the Reddit accounts can be traced back to Greg. [13] It should also be noted that on page 15 of "The Gillespie Connection", Laura Owens states that Greg is the one to post the Halloween costume picture to Reddit.[14] She claims in court to Judge Doody on October 25, 2023 that Clayton Echard was the one to post that image.[15] Since these accusations, the Reddit user that did in fact post it has come out to claim that they did, and verified their identity to the journalist Megan Fox (and they are neither Greg nor Clayton).
November 9: On the same day, there was hearing for CV 2021-052893. It was for oral argument on Plaintiff/Counterdefendant’s Motion for Partial Summary Judgment of all Defendant’s Counterclaims filed on July 26, 2023 and Defendant/Counterclaimant’s Motion for Summary Judgment filed on July 26, 2023. Plaintiff/Counterdefendant, Laura Owens, was not present and represented by counsel Kyle O’Dwyer. Defendant/Counterclaimant, Gregory Gillespie, was present and represented by counsel, Fabian Zazueta.[16] You can watch the hearing here.
2024
April 26: It is discovered during a livestream with journalists Dave Neal and Megan Fox that the ultrasound Laura Owens sent Greg Gillespie back in 2021 to prove her twin pregnancy had a Fiverr logo imbedded in the background.[17] The ultrasound is also discovered to be from a "vanishing twin" blog from 2015, and the owner of the original ultrasound communicated with Gregg Woodnick (Greg Gillespie and Clayton Echard's lawyer) via email. Their communication was submitted as evidence for Echard's trial on 6/10/2024.[18]
June 10: Greg Gillespie was called to testify at Laura Owens' hearing against Clayton Echard, but time ran out before he was able to testify.[18]
November 15: Laura Owens' OOP against Greg Gillespie is set to expire, unless she applies to renew it again.[12]
