Chase Jay Jones

There is a belief that Laura M. Owens impersonated a Howard University journalism student, by the name of Chase Jay Jones, in an attempt to get Echard canceled for having participated in a TikTok dance challenge featuring a song with the "n-word" in it. After this theory began to circulate, Jones' identity was scrubbed from the internet. The IP address that Chase Jay Jones used was traced back to the region Owens lives in. In a later update on Jones, Dave Neal stated,

Chase Jay Jones 100% joined my Patreon October 19th. I have this proof that they were lurking in there for several weeks. We tried to get their billing info from Patreon, who proved to be UTTERLY USELESS. Even with a court ordered subpoena, they weren’t able to find CJJ in their database. This person has vanished from the world. They either had their data scrubbed, or they’re hiding under a different username. All efforts are being taken to find their identity. More on that later.

When Neal's lawyer attempted to subpoena Jones' Patreon and Google records, Jones sent two motions to quash the subpoena.[1] Neal's lawyer contacted Jones' several times to get on a video call to verify their identity, and they would drop the whole thing. Jones never responded.

Greg Gillespie

Greg Gillespie believes that Laura M. Owens was not actually pregnant with his twins, nor was she ever, despite her claims.

Laura M. Owens alleges that Gillespie hacked into her iMessage in 2021, sending himself the original faked sonogram. In 2023, Laura M. Owens alleges that Gillespie hacked her email account - she further alleges that Gillespie had hacked into her email account and distributed the fake sonogram video depicting her alleged twins with Clayton Echard to the press.

Laura M. Owens also claims, in an August 2022 message directly to the judge, that Gillespie and his attorney, Gregg Woodnick, were behind an alleged physical attack on her that allegedly happened on March 4, 2022. There are no public documents to support this claim and she did not pursue this any further.

Clayton Echard

Clayton Echard, like Greg Gillespie, believes that Laura M. Owens was never pregnant with his twins, despite her claims.

Echard is still paying for legal representation; he is actively several thousand dollars in debt over this. If you’d like to donate, you can do so here.

Ronn Owens' Facebook Page

There are theories that Ronn Owens', Laura M. Owens' father and a former well-known radio DJ, public Facebook page is run by his wife and daughter. To date, he has shared all of Laura Owens' Medium blog posts on his public Facebook page. However, any comments that mention the case and are not supportive, are immediately deleted and those users are then banned from the page. Dave Neal covers the deletion of comments on Ronn Owens' Facebook page in this youtube video. There are speculations that Laura M. Owens and her mother are making sure that Ronn's fans never find out all the details in this case.

Tag (Alleged Ex-Boyfriend of Laura)

On June 3, 2024, Megan Fox had a YouTube livestream in which she shared an overview of a series of emails she received from a person, referred to as Tag, who claims to be another victim of Laura Owens. Over the course of several weeks in May 2024, this person emailed Megan Fox with a detailed story describing their alleged history with Owens dating back to 2015. The story includes the origins of the Chase J. Jones name in connection to an equestrian clothing company, an overlap in dating with Mike Marraccini, as well as details regarding Owens' struggle with mental health. After Megan Fox tried to publicly validate the identity of this email sender, their email addresses disappeared and started sending bounce-back replies, implying that their accounts were deleted. It is speculated that Laura was behind this alter ego persona in an attempt to bait Fox into sharing information that would play into Laura's claims of public defamation.
