This wiki page is dedicated to shedding light on Laura Michelle Owens' alleged abuse of the legal system and human decency to coerce men into entering relationships with her. The owners of this wiki page are focused on facts, evidence, and justice. We are a neutral group of people unaffiliated with any of the accused parties, victims, or public accounts on YouTube, Twitter (X), Reddit, and the like. The contents of this wiki are based upon information contained in the public court record(s) of these cases, or provided by the parties themselves to the public at large.

To date, Laura Michelle Owens has entered the court system multiple times and has used the court system against at least 4 men she has had sexual encounters with. Each victim has had a unique relationship/encounter with Owens, ranging from an actual relationship to a one-night stand. After these men respectively ended their time with Owens and acknowledged that they didn't want to pursue her further, she either claimed that they abused her, that she was pregnant with their child(ren), or both. Following those claims, she enters the legal system to attempt to prove her claims with unconvincing evidence.

Laura Michelle Owens' most recent legal battle was with Clayton Echard, who is an American television personality best known for his appearances as a contestant on season 18 of The Bachelorette, and as the star of season 26 of The Bachelor. Their connection began when Laura solicited Clayton to be her real estate agent in May 2023. After a short period of time knowing each other, they engaged in an encounter that involved oral sex May 20th, 2023. When he told her that he didn't want to pursue a relationship with her, Owens claimed she was pregnant with twins from their oral sex encounter. Find more in-depth information about his particular case here and see the public court documents here.

The trial took place on June 10th, 2024. On June 18th, Judge Mata gave her ruling, stating that the Court cannot find that Laura Owens was ever pregnant with Clayton Echard's child/children and cannot establish paternity of a non-confirmed pregnancy. She also found that Laura Owens filed the case in bad faith, not grounded in fact or based in law, provided false testimony, and threatened to sue Clayton Echard for $1.4M in collateral allegations. The ruling states that Laura Owens must pay all of Clayton Echard's attorney fees and costs related to this case, but denied the attorney fees and costs for the IAH and OOP hearings. Furthermore, Judge Mata is referring this matter to the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office for review of Laura Owens' actions, as the Court has determined that Laura Owens has a pattern of similar, if not identical behavior, and court involvement.[1]

Per court documents, Marraccini and Laura Michelle Owens began a relationship in early 2016, which Marraccini tried to end in early 2017. During their relationship and afterwards, she threatened suicide, twice feigned a pregnancy with his child/children, stalked him, and claimed he physically and sexually abused her causing permanent injuries. She filed a domestic violence suit against him in 2018. She renewed that restraining order in 2020 and it's set to expire in 2025. In 2022, Owens allegedly described him in a TedX talk about how a note from a stranger convinced her to leave her abusive boyfriend.

Greg Gillespie

Per court documents, Gillespie and Laura Michelle Owens went on 3 dates during the summer of 2021. When Gillespie tried to end their brief encounter, Owens claimed that she was pregnant with twins from their one sexual encounter. She claimed that she would have an abortion if he committed to loving her and having a relationship with her. When he refused, Owens took him to court. They went back and forth within the court system for 2+ years, having only recently concluded the legal battle.

Clayton Echard

Main article: Clayton Echard & Laura Michelle Owens - Timeline of Events

Per court documents and articles/interviews from both Laura Michelle Owens and Clayton Echard, they had a brief encounter on May 20, 2023, in which she performed oral sex on him twice. When he tried to end things the very next day, she was distraught and refused to accept it. 11 days after their encounter, Owens claimed she was pregnant from the oral sex that occurred, and tried to force him into dating her. When he still refused, she took him to court to establish a parenting plan. Both Owens and Echard obtained orders of protection against one another, and she testified in court in November that she was 24 weeks pregnant and had just seen her doctor a few days prior. As of December 2023, she claims that she's "no longer pregnant", with no reasoning as to what happened to alleged twins.

At a status conference on February 21st 2024, Owens claimed she was told by her doctor in November that her pregnancy had ended "months" prior, allegedly without her knowledge. The judge granted a continuance for the evidentiary hearing and the new trial date was set for June 10th with extended time as requested by Echard's team. Owen's motion to seal her deposition was denied and was scheduled for March 1st. Owens signed a HIPAA release to acquire her medical records dating back to August of 2020.

In a video from Dave Neal posted February 28th, 2024[3], it was revealed that Owens emailed Gregg Woodnick on February 27, 2024 notifying him that she intends to sue Clayton for $1.36 million unless he drops the open paternity suit they are involved in. She gave Clayton a deadline to respond by February 29th, 2024 or she would move forward with the lawsuit. The lawsuit claims that in May 2023, when Owens sought Echard to help her purchase multiple properties, Echard did not submit the offers on both properties and thus amounted to over $1.2 million in damages. At the time of the real estate engagement, Echard attempted to move Owens over to another real estate broker in his firm due to her harassing communication with him, yet Owens would not agree. The threat of a lawsuit days before Owens is due to be deposed by Echard's attorney, Gregg Woodnick, has been described as "woefully inappropriate... nonsensical extortion." An email from Woodnick to Laura's attorney Cory Keith admitted that the HIPAA release from Owens proved that 3 of the medical providers she claimed to have seen have no record of her as a patient. As new evidence has emerged leading to the June 10th evidentiary hearing court date, Laura's story has continued to change, with the new timeline alleging that she had a miscarriage in July of 2023.

The bench trial took place at the scheduled day and time on June 10th 2024, with Judge Julie Mata presiding. The bench trial was kept to a strict timeline of 2 hours total, with both sides presenting witness testimony and cross examination. The full June 10th trial was covered by several members of the media, and can be found here.

On June 18th, Judge Mata gave her ruling, stating that the Court cannot find that Laura Owens was ever pregnant with Clayton Echard's child/children and cannot establish paternity of a non-confirmed pregnancy. She also found that Laura Owens filed the case in bad faith, not grounded in fact or based in law, provided false testimony, and attempted to extort Clayton Echard. The ruling states that Laura Owens must pay all of Clayton Echard's attorney fees and costs related to this case, but denied the attorney fees and costs for the IAH and OOP hearings. Furthermore, Judge Mata is referring this matter to the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office for review of Laura Owens' actions.
