Over the course of her court cases, Owens has variously represented herself pro se and hired external counsel to represent her. As the cases have progressed, several of her attorneys have submitted motions to withdraw, with her consent. Although withdrawal with consent doesn't require disclosure of the attorney's motivations for withdrawal, this page collects any relevant information that is publicly known about each attorney and how they have contributed to her legal efforts.

Works at Cotchett Law (friend of the Owens family). Complex litigation attorney. Represented Owens in her Uber lawsuit.

Elisha Jussen-Cooke & Tara Berta

Elisha Jussen-Cooke & Tara Berta of Cooperative Restraining Order Clinic (CROC) represented Owens in San Francisco for her declaration in support of her restraining order case against Michael Marraccini. [1]

Jason Vendetti

Jason Vendetti of Vendetti Law represented Owens for her case against Lone Cactus Construction, LLC.[2]

Zachary Mushkatel

Zachary Mushkatel of Mushkatel, Robbins, & Becker, PLLC represented Owens during her case against Gillespie. He began representing her on March 4, 2022 and withdrew as her attorney with client consent 6 days later.

Kari Ramos

Kari Ramos of Askena Law represented Owens beginning March 21, 2022 in her court cases against Greg Gillespie. She withdrew as counsel without client consent on July 27, 2022.[3] Owens filed a bar complaint against Ramos.

Kyle O'Dwyer

Kyle O'Dwyer of Fortify Legal Services represented Owens beginning on August 9, 2022 in her ongoing case against Greg Gillespie. He is still the current attorney listed on the case. O'Dwyer also sent Clayton Echard a cease & desist on Owens' behalf.

Davis Bauer of Bauer Law Firm represented Laura Owens briefly in mid-July 2023, before she filed her case, as she attempted to get Clayton Echard to communicate with her.[4]

Bonnie Platter

Bonnie Platter of Barreda Law sent Echard a cease & desist on Owens' behalf. They then refused to represent Owens any further, according to Gregg Woodnick in an email to Cory Keith.[5]

Joshua Lopez

Joshua Lopez represented Owens in her OOP against Echard and in Echard's IAH against her.

Sent Dave Neal a cease & desist on behalf of Owens.

Negin Yamini

Represented Owens in her case against Dave Neal in California. Laura Michelle Owens dropped the lawsuit the day before they were set to go to trial.

Alexis Lindvall

Alexis Lindvall represented Owens from approximately December 22, 2023 to January 2, 2024. During this time, she submitted a motion to dismiss the petition to establish paternity, as Owens was "not now pregnant". [6] She withdrew as her lawyer a few days later.[7] On January 7, 2024, Owens reported Lindvall to the Arizona State Bar.[8]

Kelly Mendoza

Kelly Mendoza represented Laura Michelle Owens very briefly at the beginning of January. It is noted that she had a phone call with opposing counsel on January 9, 2024 as Owens' new counsel, but she never had a notice of appearance at the court.[9]

Cory Keith

Cory Keith of Desert Legal Group began representing Owens on January 11, 2024. Keith represented her in her status conference held on February 21, 2024.[10] He withdrew as her attorney, with client consent, on March 12, 2024. [11]

David Gingras of Gingras Law Office, PLLC began representing Owens on March 26, 2024. Dave Neal, a journalist covering Laura Owens' cases, filed a bar complaint against David Gingras that was ultimately dismissed. You can read the full bar complaint here.
